Steven H. Tulsky, Principal

Steven H. Tulsky, Principal of the Benemetrics Consulting Group, has almost thirty years of experience as a financial professional. As a consultant, he has advised clients in both the nonprofit and commercial sectors on financial planning, analysis, information gathering, capital formation, and transactional matters. His internal organizational positions have included roles as Chief Financial Officer, Director of Finance, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer of large, medium, and small public and private firms. Mr. Tulsky teaches Nonprofit Finance to graduate and undergraduate students at a San Francisco Bay Area adult education university. He has served on the boards of multiple nonprofit institutions, in one instance as President and in several instances as Treasurer. He has been an active leadership volunteer with the local chapter of a major national social service agency for fifteen years. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Benemetrics Consulting Group is an integral member of the San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit support community. We partner with local experts in related fields to bring together the combined expertise necessary to meet your needs. Typical areas where we partner include strategic planning, board training and development, major capital projects, and organizational restructuring. All of our affiliated consultants subscribe to and demonstrate the Benemetrics Consulting Group values, and they all have extensive knowledge of and experience addressing the unique challenges facing nonprofit organizations.

Bookkeeping Pool

The Benemetrics Consulting Group maintains a pool of highly competent independent bookkeepers who have strong nonprofit credentials and experience. Depending on our client's circumstances and needs, we will either provide a bookkeeper's services to our client as our employee on a fully managed and supervised basis, or we will refer a bookkeeper to be the client's employee under their supervision and our technical guidance.
